Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location: Toronto Position Type: Contract/Hybrid A key client of ours a major financial institution in Toronto needs an experienced BSA to Join their dynamic Global Transaction Banking team. They are expanding their team and looking for a highly skilled Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong technical background and extensive knowledge in capital markets and the payments domain. We are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst who will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical and business teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of capital markets, extensive experience in the payments domain (including transactions, ISO, SWIFT), and the ability to work on global transaction banking projects. Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: Utilize your strong technical skills to support the integration and development of financial systems. Capital Markets Knowledge: Apply your in-depth understanding of capital markets to analyze and improve our financial products and services. Payments Domain Experience: Work with various payment systems, including transactions, ISO, and SWIFT, to ensure seamless money movement processes. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with regulatory teams to integrate required regulatory frameworks into system designs. Data Analysis & Reporting: Use SQL and Python for querying and analyzing data to generate actionable insights. Technical Documentation: Create detailed documentation to support both business and technical stakeholders. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business, IT, and finance teams to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications. System Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Assist in diagnosing and resolving system issues to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry. Strong understanding of CRM systems and payment rails. Proficiency in JSON, Python, and SQL. Familiarity with API integrations, especially in CRM and finance systems. Exceptional documentation and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have: Extensive experience with ACH Automated Clearing House, Wire Payments, SWIFT Wire, Client Onboarding, Billing Systems, and Fed Wire. Knowledge of AML/KYC regulatory compliance.
