Senior AI Engineer

What you’ll be doing: In this role, you will have the chance to take a leading position, spearheading the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions empowered by state-of-the-art AI technologies such as Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. You will play a pivotal role in developing AI products that directly impact the work of hundreds of public sector staff, radically transforming the way they operate and deliver their services. Your AI applications will have a far-reaching impact across critical national services, encompassing sectors such as defence, transport, healthcare, education and learning, central government, local public services, and beyond. What we’re looking for: Security Clearance eligibility Deep proficiency using Python, specifically with regards to software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns. Experience handling unstructured data and applying machine learning techniques, including Natural Language Processing within the context of Large Language Models, and Computer Vision Experience working with cloud platforms and services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Proven track record of delivering high-quality software projects on time Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Motivation to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Desirable Technical Skills Familiarity with frontend development languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/Typescript, React, MUI).
