Machine Learning Specialist

Our client is looking for a passionate Machine-Learning Sepcialist eager to take a key role in developing cutting edge machine learning tools for application across financial services, aiming to revolutionise the delivery of audit and assurance services. The role You will join as a junior consultant, working closely with banking and capital markets specialists to play a pivotal role in the development of the Machine Learning and AI offering. The role will include leading a variety of projects, with a particular focus on designing solutions to help adhere to increasingly complex regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: Providing data analytics/data science services to deliver meaningful insights to our clients and help them to understand the risks and key drivers for their business Development and delivery of new and innovative data science and machine learning tools and solutions to support evolving audit and assurance needs. Provide technical and practical insight on the use of data science and AI to enhance controls and processes Foster links with academic institutions to keep up to date with the latest ML techniques, technologies and languages Your professional & academic experience Experience using Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn). Solid understanding of the mathematical, probability and statistical principles behind Machine Learning models. Experience using and deploying common machine learning algorithms (Supervised and unsupervised). Logistic regression, Neural Networks, SVMs Use of Kernels to create a classifying algorithm Experience with Natural Language Processing Experience in data sourcing, extracting, cleaning, and data managing Applying statistical analysis in Python, R, MATLAB and / or Octave Familiar with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark Additional desirable experience: Strong academics, preferably with a Postgraduate degree in a science or maths subject Self-starter with project management skills Strong communication and client management skills Financial Services experience preferable
