Location Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA Office days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Work from home days: Monday and Friday Job Description As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Engineering Productivity Pod, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity of our engineering team. You will leverage your expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and tooling to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving innovative solutions, and mentoring junior engineers. Ideal candidates are proactive, experienced problem-solvers with strong development skills in Python and a passion for optimizing engineering processes. Responsibilities Develop and maintain engineering tooling to enhance productivity. Scale our infrastructure to enable for cost efficiency Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes. Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and optimize deployments. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to distill complex problems into technical solutions. Provide leadership and mentorship to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Advanced Python Proficiency: Extensive experience with Python. Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Strong experience with AWS and Kubernetes. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using IaC tools for automation. Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a technical team. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science or related field. 5 years experience in software development or DevOps. Experience in a environment with 24/7 operational needs (ex fintech) Proven track record in enhancing engineering productivity and scaling infrastructure.
