Bulb Resourcing are representing a growing and ambitious business that specialises in supplying fixed line and wireless telecoms services They have been involved in very successful high profile wireless and fixed network deployments throughout the UK, Europe and internationally. What they look for in a Delivery Manager (MOD) This role is focused primarily on MOD, however, you may be expected to work on other customers outside of defence. You will be working closely with Customers to enable them to deliver Defence Network Operations Projects, undertaking Project and Site Engineering/Management activity and first line customer engagement. You will have a strong background in Telco Engineering I&C and Management, this role would suit a senior Engineer looking to move into management. You will be comfortable supporting and challenging senior leaders to encourage ambition and to recommend evidence- based change. You will develop and maintain a network of contacts within Defence, with cross government colleagues, and other relevant organisations to inform the delivery of support and services, benchmarking performance and the adoption of good practice. Working alongside customers and colleagues you will ensure that providers, internal and external, deliver the contracted or agreed service levels whilst providing ICT support across the portfolio of services at defence sites in the UK and Europe. Please note: some OOH, weekend work and European Travel may be required. Duties and responsibilities include: The Delivery Manager is a new role which involves working closely with internal staff and contractors, and external customers. Implement new processes and policies required for working on MOD sites/Infrastructure. Support with onsite surveys, installs and customer sign off, ensuring quality is maintained. Finances – Understand and Track costs across the program with the Senior PM, ensuring margins are always maintained. Improvement – Assess performance, research, and develop new capabilities that can be applied to the program. Encourage and implement cost saving reductions. Provide Support to the Commercial Team with bid responses and technical input. Respond to new pricing requests for existing customers. Provide Directors headline updates as required. Pick up on any overlaps within the PMO Team as required. Encourage the Project Coordinators to increase their input into projects. Ensure efficient use of all resources across all projects. Assist the Head of Operations with employment of new resource both internal and sub-contract to build competence and presence within MOD works. Support other areas of the business during staff holidays. What can they offer in return?
