Sr. BA/BSA - FX Modernization Botsford Associates is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our FX Modernization transformation team at a leading Canadian bank. This program focuses on enhancing FX settlement processes, optimizing post-trade workflows, and driving regulatory compliance, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with FX Sales & Trading, Operations, Technology, and Business Transformation teams to ensure seamless execution of modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the analysis and optimization of FX post-trade and settlement processes, ensuring improved efficiency and automation. Conduct business process reengineering by identifying opportunities for outsourcing, standardization, and automation. Perform data-driven analysis to evaluate and enhance operational effectiveness, settlement accuracy, and overall efficiency. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, business needs, and strategic implementation plans. Develop business and functional requirement documentation (BRD & FRD) to support system transformation efforts. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, conducting validation activities, and ensuring quality assurance. Maintain project alignment with Leadership Model, promoting a client-focused, results-driven approach. Must-Have Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets Operations, focusing on FX settlement, trade lifecycle, and post-trade processing. Strong understanding of FX trading, settlement workflows, and risk management processes. Experience with process reengineering, automation strategies, and operational efficiency improvements. Expertise in data analysis, performance tracking, and business process optimization. Hands-on experience with business and functional requirement documentation (BRD/FRD) and impact analysis. Experience working with UAT teams, assisting with test case development and defect management. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools. Nice-to-Have Skills: Prior experience with FX trading platforms, trade lifecycle automation, and payment processing systems. Exposure to industry standards and regulatory requirements for FX settlements. Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and analysis. Knowledge of SQL, data mapping, and API integrations to support system enhancements. Previous work in large-scale financial transformation projects.
