Principal Developer

The Team Our Principal Engineering team sets and maintains the design and development standards across all of IP Development and beyond. This team is crucial to ensuring that everything we deliver provides a seamless and intuitive experience for our customers. They collaborate closely with engineering squads, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Scrum Masters to drive innovation and excellence in our technical solutions. The Role As the Principal Developer, you will be working within the Principal Engineering team alongside a team of technical specialists. You will be responsible for setting coding standards, defining development processes, and selecting the technology stack for development. Additionally, you will support squads with complex development work and run innovation labs to test new ideas and technologies. Key Responsibilities Set coding standards and define development processes. Select and maintain the technology stack for development. Support engineering squads with complex development work. Run innovation labs to test and implement new ideas. Collaborate with the wider Principal Engineering team to ensure alignment of standards. Mentor and guide junior developers. Key Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably in a lead role. Strong knowledge of modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Node.js, React, Angular, Django, Ruby on Rails). Experience defining coding standards and development processes. Ability to support and mentor development teams. Excellent problem-solving and innovation skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
