As an apprentice, you'll not only gain hands-on experience in a range of IT support tasks but also be part of an organisation with a clear vision for the future. Key Responsibilities: First-Line Support: Act as the initial point of contact for IT issues within schools, escalating problems as needed to Senior Technicians. Problem Solving: Assist in resolving Level 1 IT issues and work under guidance to help fix Level 2 problems, escalating Level 3 issues to senior staff. Hardware & Software Support: Help maintain and repair computer systems across the Trust and external clients. Install IT equipment, including data cabling, projectors, and interactive whiteboards. Security & Data Management: Support the integrity and security of IT systems, perform data restorations, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and internet usage policies. Cross-Sector IT Support: Assist with IT services for primary and secondary schools, as well as small businesses and charities. Website & Graphics Design: Contribute to website updates and design projects for L.E.A.D. Academy Trust and L.E.A.D. IT Services. Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience: Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff and clients. IT Skills: Familiarity with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic troubleshooting of IT equipment. Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to the team's success. Self-Starter: Motivated to work independently and overcome challenges using your initiative. Customer-Focused: Experience in IT support or a customer-facing environment is desirable. Education Requirements: A Grade 4/C in Maths and a Grade 5/C English is required for this role. Salary, Hours, and Benefits: Salary: £12,480 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8:30am till 4:30pm and Friday 8:30am till 4:00pm Location: Various schools across the Trust and external clients Holidays: 22 days holiday public/bank holidays Additional Benefits: Support with your apprenticeship training, mentorship from experienced IT professionals, and opportunities to work on a wide range of projects across different sectors.
