The Operational Excellence Team are looking for a Process Engineer to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for optimisation of operational performance, as part of the Operational Excellence programme, through the analysis, design, documentation, and guided implementation of new or revised processes, workflows, process metrics and management tools. The role will be based in our Harlow Office, 35 hours a week. The role The key responsibilities you could be looking after include: Assisting in the embedding of an Operational Excellence culture through teaching operational colleagues the key principles of the theoretical framework and tool kit Critical evaluation of cross-departmental operational processes including information gathering, documentation and understanding system dependencies as well as ways of working. Execution of process and workflow design, development, documentation, support and change control across the operational processes of the Group – including for the implementation of Group projects. Execution of process metric implementation across the operational processes of the Group, to align with the principles and goals of operational excellence. Identification, definition and articulation of operational problem statements and project briefs to include succinct definition of scope, requirements, resources and risks. Assisting with change management with stakeholders when operational changes are being implemented, including testing and training components. Mentoring of a seconded ‘task team’ staff - particularly on the process and metric elements. Contribute to the implementation of organisational design changes (org chart changes). Contribute to the definition and implementation of a quality management system to ensure the quality of services against customer expectations is consistently measured. Working closely with the management teams, business analysts, IT product owners and 3rd party suppliers, to define IT and Data requirements for processes. Our ideal candidate You will be inquisitive, analytical and enjoy problem-solving using a process centric approach. You have the ability to extract key information to identify challenges, requirements, process and metrics design, and marry strategic intent to operation interventions. Essential Knowledge and Experience Essential: Deep process analysis and design experience. Strong workshop facilitation skills. Experience in executing cross-departmental projects. Excel skills to an advanced level. Financial services experience. Preferred: Direct experience in executing an operational excellence programme of projects with measured ROI. Management consulting experience. Lean or Lean Six Sigma qualification. Insurance/VAP experience. Experience in optimisation projects that include operations, IT, Data and Finance functions.
