Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Infrastructure Engineer Location: Guildford, Surrey. Salary: Up to £60,000 with 2.5% annual bonus Hybrid: 2 days a week In this role you will be working for one of the worlds larges defence and aerospace companies within a leading Infrastructure team. Working on multi-billion£ projects whilst receiving constant development and incentives. What you’ll be doing: Oversee the end-to-end process for building and maintaining Windows 10/11 images - create and develop best practices and procedures for Windows Provide support for IM&T Infrastructure, including networks, Linux, and Windows systems and applications Monitoring, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and scheduling upgrades. Undertake fault investigations in local/remote environments using information sources Secure network systems by establishing/enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access Support and administer firewall and switched network environments in line with IT security policies Collaborate with the team to develop solutions approved by Architecture and deployed into through-life support Your skills and experiences: Proficient in VMware (vCenter/ESXi, vSAN, NSX, Horizon) Expertise in Windows 10, Windows 11, Horizon Experience with NSX and Dell OS10 Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc Experience in security hardening (CIS) Familiarity with Aria/vROPs, LibreNMS, etc Experience with HashiCorp tools (Packer, Terraform), PowerShell, Python Working Knowledge of Bamboo/Bitbucket Experience with Confluence/Jira Familiarity with ServiceNow Working Knowledge of Linux (RHEL/AlmaLinux) Containers K8s, Portainer, Docker etc Apply here
