To ensure a viable, efficient, and reliable energy future for all Job Description Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Buyer to work at our customers site in Derby on a 12 months contract basis. Working within the IT Supply Chain Team for a Buyer to develop and implement an IT Supply Chain Strategy Role details: Job title: Buyer Contract length: 12 months Location: Derby Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Defining and executing a new specific IT Supply Chain Strategy Collaborating with the newly defined IT Digital Ecosystem to understand requirements and Supplier challenges to later define and execute a new Supply Chain Strategy Implementing and agreeing new Terms and Conditions and Framework agreement to standardise across the Group Inherited Supply Chain Eco-system and Submarine’s specific newly onboarded Supplier’s. Collaborating with other IT Buyers and the IT Service Delivery Leads to assist in standardising Contract Management across the IT Service Estate and implementing Service Delivery Operational Management Meetings including ensuring contractual SLA’s are measurable and enforceable Negotiating new Service Descriptions and an ‘Evergreen’ operating model with our selected current incumbent Supplier’s contracts Leading the SAP v Coupa Work stream within IT to assist in the transition for the IT Buyers and Suppliers to enable Supplier Scorecards to be implemented by Q4 Supporting junior team members providing coaching where necessary on Process and compliance Leading a transition in ways of working with the IT Function to remove risk to compliant competitions, understanding risks of early engagement without Supply Chain Presence Qualifications Qualifications and Experience: BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience. Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent. Has a proven track record of delivering results. Knowledge of Defence Contracts Working closely with Suppliers to build strategic relationships with experience dealing with and managing escalations between Stakeholders and Suppliers. Experience in contract management and a proven track record with negotiating as well as running a tender process end to end. Additional Information Security clearance This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
