Position: Interim Category Manager Reference: CR/006383 Location: South Wales (Hybrid Working) Clearance: SC Cleared Sector: Defence Technology About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Category Manager to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new suppliers, with a particular focus on SMEs. You will work closely with these suppliers to increase their engagement and integrate them into our contract framework. Key Responsibilities: Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers, including SMEs. Collaborate with suppliers to enhance their volume and ensure seamless onboarding under contract. Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives. Support procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and contract management. Qualifications & Experience: Security Clearance: SC clearance is essential. Sector Experience: Proven experience within the defence technology sector is required. Strong track record in category management, particularly in engaging and developing SME suppliers. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment. Location & Working Arrangement: Location: South Wales Working Arrangement: Hybrid working model, offering flexibility with both remote and on-site work as required.
