Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office) Salary: £48,000 - £54,500 £5,000 Car Allowance 20% Bonus Role Overview: As a Business Case Writer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, continuity, and performance of services. You will be integral in developing robust business cases that are critical for strategic and high-value changes within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Business Case Development: Draft and secure approval for complex, multi-million-pound Treasury Green Book (TGB) business cases, demonstrating structured approaches and commercial thinking. Problem-Solving: Break down complex problems to identify core issues, develop cost models, and ascertain robust baselines for benefit measurement. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a network of internal and external stakeholders to capture and challenge assumptions, coordinate specialist inputs, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Scenario Analysis: Perform sensitivity analyses to simulate potential impacts on project outcomes. Stakeholder Briefings: Lead briefings and reviews with senior stakeholders, addressing feedback and implementing necessary changes. Regulatory Coordination: Work with the Customer Engagement team and Regulatory Affairs to build support for business case recommendations. Risk Management: Monitor and communicate risks or potential issues to ensure delivery timelines are met. Essential Skills and Experience: 3 years of experience producing high-quality, complex business cases. Proficient in developing financial models for risk assessment, affordability, and scenario analysis. Strong understanding of economic models, including Optimism Bias, Sensitivity Analysis, and net present value. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience in the energy, IT, or telecoms sectors. Experience working with a regulated business or government. Public sector procurement experience or certification in relevant business case qualifications (e.g., Better Business Cases).
