Linux System Engineer

Job Title: (Telco) Platform Engineer/Linux Sys Admin Location: Remote after first couple of week onboarding (Reading) Type: Permanent position Salary: Approx 60k Job Description: As a Platform Engineer/System Administrator, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include: Experience : Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, or similar roles in telecom or network service providers, with a focus on automation/software. API & Data Models : Knowledge of APIs, data models, and documenting infrastructure (e.g., Netbox, Nautobot). CI/CD Pipelines : Familiarity with tools like Gitlab and Jenkins. Infrastructure as Code : Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Salt, and programming languages (Python, Go, Bash) for automation. Version Control : Experience with Git for managing code and configurations. Cloud & Containers : Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Virtualization : Experience with hypervisors like Proxmox and VMware. Linux Administration : Proficiency with Linux systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).
