The Role: As a SOC Analyst, you'll monitor security events, detect threats, and analyse incidents to identify causes and impacts, ensuring real-time risk mitigation alongside specialised response teams. You’ll enhance monitoring systems, refine protocols, and tailor security measures to the specific needs of government and defence sectors. By providing actionable intelligence to senior leaders and guiding IT teams on security measures, you’ll help protect national assets. Staying ahead of evolving cyber threats, you'll develop threat-hunting skills and understand the unique security requirements of these government environments. Key Requirements: British National with DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance. Central Government or Defence SOC experience Proficient with SIEM tools and technologies. Skilled in network security, intrusion prevention, and endpoint security. Knowledgeable in NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks. Experience with Government organisations and classified asset management. Familiar with Defence and Security cyber requirements (e.g., Secure by Design, JSP 440). Holds certifications like CISSP, GIAC GMON, or GCIA.
