Data Engineer Day Rate: Up to £1000 - Outside IR35 Duration: 6 Months Extensions Security Clearance: DV Cleared Location: Central London Onsite: 3 days per week Start Date: Max 4 weeks’ notice The Opportunity: The UK’s 1 UK Digital Solutions Provider seeks a talented Data Engineer to support the E2E design, build and delivery of a complex and large-scale data transformation programme for a Government client. Required Skills/Experience: British Passport holder Active UKDV Security Clearance is essential. Proven experience in leading engineering teams to implement data-intensive system components. Extensive experience in using Palantir or PySpark for data processing and transformation tasks. Proficiency in applying design standards (patterns), development guidelines (style guides), and ensuring operational readiness (automation, deployment). Extensive software development experience in Java, Scala, or Python. Hands-on experience with vendor data-processing platforms such as Informatica, Azure Databricks, or other relevant ETL tools. Expertise in SQL or SQL extensions for analytical purposes. Deep understanding of distributed data stores and data processing frameworks. Strong ability to communicate technical designs effectively in writing and verbally. Experience in designing analytical and operational data models.
