Role overview The Project Group Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Project group, managing high profile projects and overseeing a portfolio of projects that include customer-facing driving simulator projects and internal R&D initiatives. The individual will be accountable for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, resource planning, and the continuous improvement of project management processes. What will you be doing? Providing leadership to the Project group and its teams which consist of the project delivery team, procurement team and the logistics function. Responsible for leading certain high-profile projects as the designated project manager. Accountable for a portfolio of all projects, including customer-facing driving simulator projects and internal R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. Accountable for the tracking of all projects, creation of management information and key performance indicator reporting (i.e. progress, schedule, cost/profit, risk management, customer satisfaction etc.) Undertaking company-level resource planning and liaising with other groups to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet targets. Development and implementation of project management tools, methods and processes to improve the overall capability and efficiency of the project management function. Leading and developing the procurement team to take a more strategic approach to project purchases while balancing cost saving initiatives with high quality standards. What are we looking for? Significant experience in project/program/portfolio management in a technical and/or engineering environment. Recognised project management qualification and/or affiliation (i.e. APM, PMP, PRINCE2). Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Critical Path, Lean Six Sigma etc.). Experience in managing and reporting the financial elements of projects. Experience in leading and managing teams, and coaching individuals Why join us?
