Job Title: Technical Writer Location: Burnaby, BC Job Type: Full-Time About Us We’re a fast-growing healthcare technology company focused on building modern, user-friendly solutions for clinicians and healthcare organizations. Our flagship product is Aarista, an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform designed to streamline clinical workflows, improve patient care, and enhance compliance. We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and help create clear, engaging, and accurate documentation that empowers our users. If you have a knack for turning complex concepts into user-friendly content and experience writing for technical products—especially in healthcare—this role is for you. Responsibilities Write and maintain high-quality knowledge base articles, user guides, FAQs, and system documentation for our EMR platform. Develop onboarding materials and step-by-step training content for clinicians, support staff, and administrators. Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and customer support to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy. Create visuals such as diagrams, screenshots, and walkthroughs to enhance understanding. Continuously audit and improve existing documentation based on product updates and user feedback. Help shape and maintain documentation style guides and best practices. Assist in preparing materials for internal training sessions or customer webinars when needed. Qualifications 2-5 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in healthcare, health IT, or SaaS. An understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, healthcare workflows, or clinical environments is highly desirable. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Experience with content management systems (CMS), knowledge base platforms (e.g., Zendesk, HelpScout, Confluence), and documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Google Docs, Notion). Experience with Figma or other design tools is an asset. Bonus: Experience creating video tutorials or interactive training modules.
