A Full-time, Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack job is available with our client, one of the world leading platforms in real time data. As a Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack you will be responsible for architecture, design, and development of Clients' customer facing applications. You’re the person that other engineers come to for help solving the hardest problems. You have deep technical expertise and have earned the respect of your peers. You have built web platforms — UI frameworks, APIs, application Infrastructure, toolchains — to deliver complex customer experiences. You’ll join a team that is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about user experience. This is an opportunity to work with rapid experimentation and solve exciting new problems together with a globally distributed team. This role is based either in the UK or Ireland, with the option of being fully remote. DAY-TO-DAY RESPINSIBILITIES: Work with a multinational team to help create a seamless user Interface that surfaces real-time alerts from around the world. Implement industry best practices with an approach that promotes clean, modular and scalable code. Plan and deliver the future iterations of our customer web application to accommodate evolving user needs. Provide technical leadership and work with other team members to help set clear and well-structured guidelines for development. Be a technical mentor for other engineers. THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining large-scale, distributed software applications. Proven track record of mentorship and modeling strong engineering practices through hands on coding. Collaborate with various stakeholders including User Experience, Product, and other engineers to design solutions with balanced tradeoffs (experience inLean product development is great). Prior professional experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Hands-on experience with React Testing Library. Experience with Java, Scala, Python and/or other object-oriented programming languages. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
