Job Title: Policy Manager Location: UK - London Remuneration: Hourly Rate: £51.92 to £57.69 Contract Length: 9 months Contract Details: Our client, an innovative and environmentally conscious tech organisation, is seeking a Policy Manager to join their Data Centre Policy team on a temporary basis. With their commitment to renewable energy and net-zero emissions, our client designs, builds, leases, and operates cutting-edge data centres. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our client's strategic engagement on policy matters affecting data centre operations in Europe. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and advocate for policy proposals related to data centres and energy in Europe. Ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with internal partners and external consultants to identify emerging policy issues and assess their impact on data centre operations. Stay abreast of data centre and energy legislation across Europe, gather feedback from stakeholders, and prepare documentation for external engagement and internal alignment. Collaborate with the Data Centre, Legal, Communications, and global policy teams to develop responsible data centre development policies. Conduct research on current and emerging public policy issues and engage with thought leaders in the field. Coordinate with multiple internal teams to incorporate their expertise into campaign strategies and execute the client's priorities flawlessly. Manage client expectations while upholding high ethical standards, fostering trust, respect, and confidence. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Experience in internet technologies, security, privacy, integrity, safety, content moderation, and the policy environments surrounding these areas. Experience in government relations and/or policy issues. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and executing cross-functional policy campaigns domestically and/or internationally.
