Junior Data Engineer - Remote (UK) - £45K - £60K Looking to enter the world of FinTech? I’m partnered with an early stage start-up with a mission to revolutionize the world of finance with their AI powered tools. They are building a comprehensive platform that leverages AI to transform qualitative data into actionable equity research, making a significant impact in the financial sector. I’m looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join this innovative team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and optimizing data processing pipelines, refining AI-driven document retrieval systems, and prompt engineering. This role would suit a recent Graduate with a real passion for AI, who did a lot of work at University with Python. Ideally, you will have been working on personal projects that utilise LLMs and RAG models, with an understanding of how to work with unstructured data. You’ll be working closely with a senior member of the team, receiving personal 1 on 1 training and development from them to support you in learning the role, so this isn’t essential but is highly preferred. Contact Chaz at chaz.singhadameher.com Key Responsibilities: Data Processing & Retrieval: Assist in improving the retrieval processes of financial documents after they are ingested and split by AI models, ensuring that the data is accurately and efficiently processed. Prompt Engineering & Analysis: Contribute to the prompt engineering efforts to optimize AI model outputs and assist in the financial analysis derived from these processes. Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for ingesting, storing, and retrieving unstructured financial data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. AI & ML Integration: Work with RAG models and large language models (LLMs) to enhance their applications. Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate backend processes with the overall platform, ensuring smooth operation and continuous improvement.
