Business Analyst: Utilities Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum Location: Reading, UK (1 day per week on-site) My client, a leading Data and AI consultancy, is seeking a Business Analyst with at least 3 years of experience in digital projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid foundation in both Business and Data Analysis, particularly those with experience in the utilities sector, who can leverage data to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business performance. Key Responsibilities: Discovery Projects: Participate in 2-6 week strategic projects at new clients or in unfamiliar domains, focusing on understanding problems and creating digital solutions. Strategic Support: Contribute to business strategy, support client engagements, and assist in business development, including RFP responses. Agile Development: Join cross-functional development squads, aiding in backlog management, sprint planning, and continuous discovery processes. Key Skills: A strong background in the utilities industry, with an understanding of its unique challenges and regulatory environment. Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, with a focus on creating actionable insights. Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, and the ability to interpret and utilize data to improve business outcomes. Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Scrum, sprint planning, and backlog management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in writing user stories, performing user acceptance testing, and facilitating feedback loops. Familiarity with technical architecture, process mapping, and data source identification.
