yii2-advanced: problem with separate index.php in public_html

hi there
there is a suggestion here (http://www.yiiframework.com/doc-2.0/guid…sting.html) to move index.php in public_html folder to ready for upload, by this i have 2 Qs:
1- why when i do the above instructions, the bootstrap did’nt load completely, for example icons in gridview didnt load
2- is it dangerous to put index.php next to backend, frontend, … folders?

I have no experience with Yii, but I’ll try and answer your questions.

1- most likely the icons are images and the requests for them are 404ing, which indicates your rewrite isn’t working properly.

2- no, it isn’t, since it looks like the goal of the exercise is to use what is called a front-end controller.
