Www.directory missing after install easyphp

I have tried to install easyphp already 10 times this morning but for some reason a lot of directories are missing like the www directory and mysql directory. What could be the reason?

Maybe it could not write (no permissions) on your system.
Try wamp, I like it way better.

Hi vectorialpx. Thank you for the reply. I have actually just downloaded wamp. I only have problems with the server setup. This is what I have done. I created 2 servers Remote server (C:\wamp\www\mysite\) and Testing server(http://127.0.0.1:8080/mysite/) but if I test the site live I get the error HTTP-fout 404.0 - Not Found

and under that it writes:

Requested URL http://127.0.0.1:80/mysite/index.php
Physical path C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mysite\

How does it come that although I have set the physical path to the www directory in wamp it is refering to the wwwroot directory in inetpup? What should I do to correct this?

what do you mean by “2 servers”.
Two instances of wamp or what?

To change the rootDir, click the wamp icon, go to Apache menu and select httpd.conf
In the conf file, search after DocumentRoot and edit the path as you need.

“if I test the site live” means you have a remote web-server?

I already found the reason. I have changed the port of IIS from 80 to 8080

You forgot to mention about IIS

Yes you are right, I’m truly sorry :frowning:

No problem  I’m a noob when it comes to Microsoft web services.
