Wordpress widget displays adsense code differntly on main page & post pages - why?

I added an adsense code into a widget on my sidebar. This same sidebar appears on my index page here: see here but I cannot understand why that same widget displays the ads differntly on post pages such as these samples:

POST PAGE 1

POST PAGE 2

POST PAGE 3

these last 3 pages show a 300X250 size ad with yellow background / red border. It shouldn’t. I deleted that old code and added a new code. The new code does in fact show a new ad (on index page) but old code on “post” pages. ???

I might be a cache issue?
Or maybe the widget bars look the same, but the theme you’re using has different widget bars for the main page and the post page?
