Wordpress slug vs title of a blog: SEO considerations

Hi,

I’m trying to understand how the title of a Wordpress blog and its slug relate to SEO. As just one example, let’s say my blog post is:

5 Dont’s in Learning How To Skateboard

Should I then make my slug:

5-donts-in-learning-how-to-skateboard

Or are there SEO considerations in finessing the slug?

First of all when you are creating any title and slug, think like a user and then use some great title and its slug depends on what user is actually looking for.

As per your current query,you can also use different slug for any post. For ex. there is a post title of “Top 10 SEO Tips for 2016” and its slug is “seo-tips-2016”. Make sure to research for proper keywords and try to use them in title and slug.
