WIX to Wordpress?

I have a website that has been created in WIX, the website has 30+ pages. I want to transfer the entire website to Wordpress. I want to keep the same template, style and content - only difference is that it is managed in Wordpress.

What would be the best way of achieving this? Of course I could rewrite the entire website in HTML, CSS and Javascript but that would be very tedious and if there is a better way I would love to hear it!

The best way to do it would be rewrite the site over for wordpress. Anything that would automatically convert it (if you find something) would be messy.

Well, believe it or not there are several sites that claim to be able to convert Wix to Wordpress, one of which is wixtowordpress.com I wouldn’t like to say how good they are, and there is a cost. I suspects as jmullins says you’d be better starting from scratch.

Thanks guys. I was hoping for a shortcut, but as you’ve said rewriting will be the best option.

Not familiar with Wix, but if you can download your content as an xml file you could use the wordpress importer plugin to just upload it to your wordpress site.
