Winxp with sp2 vs2005 jet provider not registered

i m running xp with sp2 n vs 2005
when i run simple open connection of database with access
i get an error
The ‘Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0’ provider is not registered on the local machine."

even MSJet40.dell 4.0.8618.0
now wht do i do

Have you checked the Permissions of the folder the db is located under and that you have the rights to “read” from it? Correct path to the db? Username and Password correct?
