Why the margin-top is larger than its setted under IE8?

the link: test

the css:

    .hot-version, .week-down, .total-down, .tag {
        border: 1px solid #D4D4D4;
        height: 286px;
        margin-top: 10px;
        padding: 1px;

the red part margin-top is larger in IE8 and ok under firefox,IE7. why? how to correct it?

It’s probably because you have your images as inline elements and are treated much like text where space will be kept for descenders. Try setting your images to display:block where appropriate.

    margin-top: 10px;
        display:block;

I don’t see the issue in IE8.

Yes the extra gap is there on your image:)

The gap is about 4px higher on those images compared to the other elements due to the problem I mentioned above.

Paul O’B,your ways works like a charm. many thanks.Paul O’B
