Hi,
I am making one way, 2 way and reciprocal links for my website. I take only quality and theme related links. Please tell me reciprocal links is good then one way, or 3 way.
According to the panda update which type of links is better please share your views.
If Google thinks the links are genuine and natural, it won’t matter if they’re one-way or two-way, they will still be valuable.
If Google thinks the links are planted or fixed, it won’t matter if they’re one-way or two-way, they will still be worthless.
The more complicated your link-building process, the more likely it is to look suspicious. Three-way linking, wheels, pyramids etc – they’re all ways of trying to hide the fact that you’re doing little more than spamming. Google isn’t stupid – any tricks that you can come up with to get more links out there than your site deserves have been found long ago.
I agree with Stevie D. If Google deems your links suspicious it won’t matter what building technique you tried and used.
With that being said nothing beats a direct link from a related site. Much better to get a direct link then do link trades. The more direct links you get especially from related sites it makes your website look like an authoritative site within the category.
Am doing 3 way link building for my websites . Still, I am on #1 position for my targeted keywords… But most of the forums and webmaster’s suggest me to stay away from link exchange concepts and they are advised me to concentrate on one way link building process such as social bookmarking, article submission, guest blogging, forum posting etc…
1 way links are going to be better than exchanges, but I’d like to think that google are smart enough to pick up on 3-way link exchanges as well. At the end of the day, I’d be more concerned about what else your inbound linking sites are linking to - if your site is linked alongside 30 spammy websites you run the risk of google deciding your site must also be spammy. If the inbound links come from sites with authority and only links to other quality content, that can only reflect well on your site.
Why 3 way links cant be one way links? what magic will Google use to find them out. nothing.
The fact is that in 3 way link exchanges you need multiple third part sites which will link to your partners. if you have only one site having links to all your partners then it my go negatively!!
I think the bigger issue is making ranking in Google the ultimate priority. This is really a very poor long term plan. You never control the serp which mean you money is always dependent on the search engine behavior. If most of your traffic coming to your site is from Googles organic search you are gambling no matter what the quality of your links are. You still don’t control the serp and they can (and have) pulled the rug out from under you anytime. Yes, a top position in Googles serp = $$$ money but for how long? You still have to wake up everyday and check your position because you are always concerned about someone knocking you off OR Google implementing some new standard that changes everything and causes your site to disappear from search results. In addition, anyone who has ever ranked for a high traffic keyword know that the battle really begins once you get on top.
It is a horrible way to live if your revenue is built entirely on Google’s organic search results. Give too much of your efforts to ranking in Google and they own you. Just like a bank owns the person that borrows for home, car and credit cards.
If you have a good product or service then you should have no problem marketing it by many different means (including Googles serp) which makes your website traffic much more diverse, more stable, is more reliable and not entirely susceptible to Google’s control or algorithm changes and updates.
So to answer the question: Which type of links are good?
Links that are coming from quality, authoritative and high traffic websites, forums and blogs. For “ranking in Google” purposes one-way links are still the best, but there are variables to that as well depending on how Google “sees” the link.
You’d be surprised how much traffic no follow links from high traffic websites, forums and blogs bring though… If they are “no follow” it may not help much as far as ranking in Google, but over time these links add up and each one is a small advertisement.
A simple A>B>C>A 3 way link exchange would be quite easy for Google to pick up on. For example: Your site (site B) has a backlink from site A, google also knows that you link to site C. It’s only one extra step to check if C links to A.
Yes, there are more complex ways of doing this, however you have to give google some credit as far as knowing what techniques people use.
Hello Arjun …I Think 3 way link building Is Better Option rather Than Reciprocal Link Building…as Google Panda Update says that google prefer backlink Which is not easy to get…
Go for one way link building only . Don’t engage with link exchange schemes and build partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking, this is violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines . Reciprocal links or link exchange can negatively impact your site’s ranking in search results.

Penguin update is all about bad links, paid links… sites which used paid links or link exchange schemes against the Google guidelines… are punished by Google in this update
Links, which coming from your target market always good for your site, but due to Google’s frequent update link exchange is became less effective, most of the webmaster moving toward guest post, which is very beneficial in seo now a days…
