I don’t think the importance of whether it’s two words or one is the point. It’s being consistent with using either one. If you decide to use ‘homepage’ for an article/page, then you should use it as one word all over the site.
Actually, that’s not quite true. It depends upon which dictionary is referenced. Having said that, simply because a word is not in the dictionary doesn’t mean use of the word is incorrect. Words make their way into dictionaries as a result of the evolution of language. Pre-internet days I would have said it was two words, now I say it’s either or, but be consistent as others have mentioned.
To me, that simply shows that there is no universally accepted answer, Either should be acceptable, but you should strive for consistency.
The same goes for “website” and “web site.” I do think “website” as a single word seems to be more prevalent, though Google only has it in the lead by a 3:2 ratio, which is still not overwhelming.
Now, if I could just be consistent myself…

I would say homepage, however, would avoid using it in link anchor text - always best to use your keywords.
I am unsure exactly what keywords have to-do with referencing the word homepage or why you should avoid its use in anchor links, care to explain? Because I was always under the impression that a link to the websites home should be included in every page except the front page for the sake of usability.

Well…both are correct words and none is incorrect. It is up to you for which one you go…but from google point of view my vote for Homepage
Homepage is correct if you are talking about Website.
I think both are correct and meaningful, you can use them in any way you want.

In dictionary there are no word as homepage, it must be home page. But in cyber or internet use. The word Homepage is the right term because it was the word in used.
