Newbie who wonders how to fill in a portrait space with the hair of the subject. Female is blond and I need to complete the her picture by adding
hair that will frame her face. I tried several tools in 9 with no luck. 
I don’t know what you would call what I want to do here. Maybe that is the problem. Is there some sort of brush tool that will apply one color or colors from one area of a photo to another. Thanks in advance.
Not sure if you are still looking for an answer but I’d approach it in two ways. First use sections of hair and copy it to another layer, use the move tool and possibly flip the layer content to fill in one side with hair from the other side of the face. Secondly, use the clone and heal tools to blend and blur any obvious patterns that exist. Try to make it look as natural as possible.
You will probably find that the lighting will give things away, or that you are too limited with what hair you do have to work with, but you’d be surprised how much you can do using this technique to build more hair.
