What's Your Computer's Homepage?

I enjoy waking up in the morning to Yahoo’s homepage. Not only do I get the latest news and sports headlines instantly, there’s something psychologically inviting about Yahoo’s homepage.

What about you? What’s your computer’s homepage, and why?

David Jackson

It’s Google, I like it !

Dammit, that Squirrel guru dude stole my smart alec response.
Anyway, good question. I’m a session reloader as well, just hang on a sec.

The standard FF google start page.

I like having the speed dial right there in Opera (my browser of choice), so I suppose I have 12 home pages…

presently my home page is google.

Ditto.

I have about 20 tabs open constantly, most of them I use every day. There are several forums (including 2 for SPF), my sites, email, various services, and two sites reminding me I’m pretending to be learning Spanish

igoogle so that I can see my RSS reader, gmail, weather, time tracking, to do list and everything else I use on a daily basis.

Great feedback, guys! Really interesting answers. Keep 'em coming!

At home it is my husbands website (marketamerica.com/mkeboomer) and at work it is my companies shopping cart site.

I have google.com set as my homepage, but I never visit it. If I need to search, I use the browser’s search bar.

Facebook is the homepage for my PC. It’s the trend of this generation and i am no different to it.

My homepage is my browsing history, all set up in a 3 dimensional fan display. I love it, very visual. I can go back many days that way.

google.com here too. why? because that’s my choice

Mine is localhost where I have a web page with links to everything I visit regularly (as well as many other useful sites I have found that I visit occasionally).

i also use google chrome so its speed dial extension and in firefox my homepage is Google

I pretty much always hibernate my computer and the browser stays open. When I restart the browser, I have it set up so it brings back the tabs I was last looking at. They normally are Gmail and websites I’m supposed to be doing something with but I haven’t yet.

But if I were to set a “homepage” it would probably be http://news.bbc.co.uk - it’s normally the first page I visit when I start a “session”.

I don’t have one. It’s empty/blank.

I do leave my computer on at all times, except when I need to reboot once in a moon, so I guess I don’t really need a homepage.

I agree with you here, I do this with Google Chrome, when I use it  My regular Web browser is Internet Explorer 8 though so I do have a homepage and it is Google UK. It’s a window to the world and it’s pleasantly surprising when they have a different logo on sometimes.

I used to have MSN UK as my homepage previously though.

Mine used to be www.bbc.co.uk but I got fed up of all the murders and oil spills and stuff, so now it’s [URL=“http://www.marthastewart.com”]Martha Stewart’s website - less violence, more cookies.
