What's a good developer-friendly theme, for those non-custom projects?

So we build a lot of Wordpress projects completely from scratch BUT the client’s budget doesn’t always allow for that. So I ask… what is a good developer-friendly theme, for those non-custom projects?

Something that works well for a developer but has a decent amount of theme options & features included to speed up the process. Almost like a good hybrid? This may not exist but I’d love to hear from other developers on what they use when they’re not creating a theme from scratch.

I’m looking for Good support, a Good codebase that’s not terribly bloated, Decent theme options (not 750), Maybe Visual Composer? Whatcha got LinkedIn peeps?

Thanks in advance and have a blessed day!

For a developer-friendly thene for Wordpress projects, try Avada from themeforest.net. It’s not free but it comes with lots of customization stuffs. You can also visit studiopress themes at my.studiopress.com or search at Template Monster.

As 3wCorner mentioned Avada is a great theme, I’ve used it in a previous project.
Another one, that’s actually making a LOT of noise is “Divi” by Elegant Themes. It’s a premium theme as well.

Now, if you are in to do some basic stuff yourself and/or pair it with Visual Composer (like most of the premium themes do, if they do not have their own builder) check Underscores (_s) theme it’s a starter theme, but contrary to some opinions, it can work out of the box, adding VC’s functionality and you’re almost set. It’s Open Source and it’s done by some folks from Automattic, they created some relatively known product named WordPress.

So, being a dev with a budget/time constraint most of the time, it allows me to get some basic setup fast and do some custom layouts without having to worry about much else.
