What program are you using to show .flv and .f4v movies on sites?

Been trying them for two weekends. Turning blue.

What do your use?

What is the most popular?

I want to display the first frame of the movie with a play button over the top of it.

Am willing to pay something but the ones I have found that work cost $99.00/mth and the movie is hosted on their server. Works perfectly - found it on a newspaper site - but is too pricey.

Could I get some direction here.

Flowplayer or longtailvideo’s player are popular and will do what you need.
Unless you specifically need true streaming, just host the video on normal hosting and play back via progressive download
