What is wrong with Flippa

Hi,
I can’t help but notice the lack of information and threads about Flippa.
I am very new to domain flipping, but Flippa seems to be a good place to sell my domains.
I have about 50 dot coms that I plan to put on Flippa about 3-5 at a time.
It seems like a good plan and a good way to get started.
I am not a buy-and-hold flipper, I want to sell for a fair price and move on to the next domain.
Is there something about Sedo (et al) and their way of doing business that I should consider?
Thanks for your help.

Hi tripp2953. Welcome to SitePoint.

I can’t help but notice the lack of information and threads about Flippa.

Flippa is really a separate site, so it’s not often a topic of conversation in these forums, except to direct people there is it suits their need.

I would suggest that u go for Flippa. Its the best way to sell your websites and domain names. Sedo has vast numbers of domain names in their marketplace to sell and there might be no result even in a year. So Flippa is best in its way.

To be honest, you will get better value for your domains on NamePros as Flippa is more targeted towards websites.

My friend used to sell domains on Flippa and from what he said , it’s the best site for doing that.

There is also Bido auctions , both good venues for domain sales exposure … I have sold dozens on both namepros and bido.

I heard Flippa was good, almost bought a couple things but got out bid. Haven’t sold anything on there yet but looks decent. But like mentioned, it’s more geared towards full sites rather than simply domain names.

I have listed my 3 or more profitable sites with flippa and nothing is sold, and even i am not getting enough bids( I am not greedy,i just expected 60% of my websites generated incomes)but nothing got sold. And you can see the sold domains (most of them are projected and photoshop designed income proofs)

That’s the free market. And there’s no accounting for taste. But we can’t complain about what people choose to buy.

Both Sedo and Flippa are good although I only managed to sell through sedo. Flippa is indeed (as someone already stated) better for selling your whole website. Anyways, I keep checking the website to see how things go in this market.

But you can use both of them, of course.
