It’s easy to get a link so it’s not going to be worth very much.
You might as well ask what the role of gardening is on wallpaper in Belgium…
Tinyurl and other URL shorteners are nothing at all to do with SEO. The reason they exist is to allow people to post links to sites in places that don’t like long URLs, such as Twitter, some forum/blog systems, some email/newsgroup software, and any context where people might be retyping a URL (eg reference in printed material) and you don’t want to give them www.website.com/withareallylong/and_confusing?URL=that&they=will&probably+get=wrong.
They can be great for getting traffic to a site, because they allow you to share the link with people who you couldn’t otherwise have shared a link with. But in terms of SEO, forget it - it’s just an alias for the real URL.
And if you’re looking at your own website, you shouldn’t be using external URL shorteners - it’s much more effective to create your own alias URLs on your own server.
Tiny URL is used to hide your URL and it is not effective when it comes to backlinks.Correct me if I’m wrong.
i think Google flag this tiny urls… since its redirecting and its kinda deceptive for SEs…
