[font=calibri]I think you probably mean a mirror site, and it’s nothing to do with SEO. It’s where you have your website replicated on several servers, and so visitors can be directed to whichever one is working best at the time. You don’t have different URLs/domains, it’s just some behind-the-scenes switches that chooses which server is the best one.
Think of it a bit like queues in the supermarket – all the tills work exactly the same, you just pick the queue that looks shortest/quickest on the day.[/font]
