What is facebook ads CPC?

I am trying to give ad on facebook. It’s suggested me for CPC $.50 i don’t understand what’s this?

CPC stands for cost per click or the amount you will pay for a click.

You can change this to CPM or cost per thousand impressions and pay on views instead, or you can enter an lower bid but may not show up as frequently, or at all, if there are enough higher bid advertisers.

thanks for your information. But i want more fans but my buddget is low. So which one i’ll select cpc or cpm?

hello i am waiting. Please help me urget.

That’s a too broad question to answer here. I don’t have statistics nor I don’t know your business model to suggest that cpm is better for you than cpc. In most cases, to get a good result with cpc, you need to spend hours searching for the right term so the cost is low but it will also get your goal. A term that is extremely cheap but doesn’t bring traffic or fans is useless.

In the case of a cost for impression, it is a completely different matter. Positioning is everything. It is not the same to place it at the top of the page than at the bottom, and in the same way that the front page is not the same that some other inner page whith little traffic, or one site is differs to other sites…

Of course, the position of an ad in a CPC campaign matters, but in this case you only pay when the user clicks on it so if it prints 8,000 million times is irrelevant.

Most advertisers prefer CPC over CPM - probably because they prefer to only pay for a result. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that applies to you.

You say your budget is low. Are you sure you should be doing this kind of advertising in the first place? As with all advertising, there is a cost, and there’s also a potential benefit. You have to decide whether the benefit justifies the cost. To do that, the key figure is the likely conversion rate. If you believe enough of the people who click on your ads will end up buying your product - and generating enough profit to pay for the ads - then it’s worth doing. Otherwise, it’s not.

I agree with you Mike. The lower a budget is, the more wisely an advertiser should spend every cent. A website can not totally depend on PPC advertising especially with a low budget but all other free advertising methods should go parallel to PPC.
But in general, most advertisers lose some money in the beginning before they know their audience better. It is a difficult equation but when done correctly it can be very profitable.

Thanks a lot everybody for providing a great suggestion.Today i published my ads and i liked CPC ad.
