Few weeks ago I asked in the “get started” a question titled: what do you think of my new website? It was very simple… I get useful feedback(s) from here and there and we improved our simple start up.
Today, JumzleR - our start up - strongly growing up, sending 500 - 600 unique visitors per article, Alexa improved to 250.000.
I love to comeback to say thank you - and to re-ask: What do you think?
We received few submissions from Site Point - the website - so I think few people already have an experience here, mentioning that all submissions are accepted due the 100% quality content.
So, give it a shot and let me know what’s you first impression, thoughts, experience, what do you think and what do you suggest? All suggestions are welcome.
Yes, thanks for mentioning such a point. We received the same question or feedback and we already provided a simple answer where you can find here: link.
There are 21 content types which may be provided in a text format from the less characters like quotes, definitions, questions, comments, answers, …etc. to the medium and big ones like posts, articles, stories, and news. Then … there are topics.
I wanted to put everything in its place so we give every word its importance in the browsing process. You see one post or article comes with one or two categories - in most cases - and number of tags. Because of this - 90% of tags are ignored by the user in the browsing process - that happened because the users think about it like it putted to describe, while the original reason of using sections, categories, tags, …etc. is to filter content related to one specific thing and to give the user an ability to browse content related to this specific thing.
When you’ve enough content that updates regularly for each … you expand from a homepage to # of sub-homepages beside the original one, best example I would give is Reddit. In JumzleR, we try to study the best use of everything including the smallest such as the [dot], the [comma], and the question mark. Nothing is perfect - but we try to do something good that gives great experiences in our first days with the less requirements - to give something better with greater experiences when we grow up and we’ve the big ones.
It’s a nice and simple design. Though, my first impression as the page loaded was “What is this place?” so with that being said, I think it would be cool to have an obvious quick “About Us” somewhere to quickly explain what your website is all about and what it brings to the user. Other than that, the website loaded very quickly and easy to navigate. I wish you the best with your new website!
