Why is my text rendering like that in IE 8?

Without a link or some code, we probably can’t help. Presumably you are using a special font? Maybe it’s not optimized for the web …

No special fonts. That’s simply Arial.

It may be the cleartype glitch mentioned here when using jquery fades.

Hm, if I click on and off those text colors in the developer tools, the issue goes away. Strange. Anyhow, as an aside, you shouldn’t have an H4 nested in a <p> like that.

The error had something to do with IE and the background color. For some reason with a transparent BG it caused that issue. When setting the BG to white for those elements it resolved the issue.
