Website rollovers not displaying properly in IE8

I have a website with some text that is hidden -5000px and upon rollover it re-appears.

Please take a quick look at the numbers on the bottom (i.e. 1-2-3-4) of the left hand side. It works in firefox but in IE 8 the text is not there see if you can tell me what is going on with it. It is driving me nuts.

For some reason it works in IE6 and Firefox. Please help!
