Website Malware

Hi everyone,

I am not sure if this is something that can be address. My client is generating errors and I don’t know how to deal with it. I’ve been searching on google and cam’t find the right answer. I believe that has been infected so what I did is I deleted all the files and left nothing but then when I ran a test it is still generating errors.

Any advise?

Thanks.

My guess as to why you are still receiving the error page is that it needs time to realise that the malware is no longer there. If you have deleted everything you have done all you could IMO.

When I tested this on sucuri there is a tab that point where the infected URL is being affected. it says 404javascript.js and 404testpage4525d2fdc has an internal server error

I have just run another online scanner at random and it reports no malware. Have you tried contacting the host for assistance?

What scanner did you use?

quttera - I just chose it at random from a web search.

It’s weird though on sucuri checker it is detecting an internal server error.

Have you checked there are no hidden files left?

Yes I did. I am using WinSCP to access my files and I checked the option to view the hidden files.

Did you change your ftp password as well?

I did not. But my development server were the site files came from is cleaned. So it might be that this live host has been infected.
