I’m in the process of learning how to backup my website and feel a bit overwhelmed by the information out there. I --think-- what I’d like to do is have a nightly back up of my database (found a script and figured out how to get it working!) as well as a daily or weekly backup of my website files. To back up actual files, lots of people seem to be talking about using Amazon S3 and there seem to be some scripts out there that will help you get that going. However, I’m looking for a “Site-Point endorsed” PHP script that I can feel confident about; a lot of scripts that I’ve seen out there seem either outdated, or have a minimal number of users. Further, I don’t feel comfortable at all using the Command Line, so a method that could avoid this would be great.
