Visual Web Developer Express 2010 Cannot Start - Keeps Crashing

Hello,

I wanted to tryout ASP.NET 4.0 and just installed VWD and cannot get it to startup on my laptop. I have Windows 7 Ultimate for my OS. Whenever I start it, the following message pops up:

Microsoft Visual WD Express has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I checked my Event Log, and this is what I was able to find:

Tried to search the internet, and the only thing I have been able to establish is that VWD has a problem with some Fonts. However, I am unable to establish which font is causing the problem or how to effectively workaround this issue.

Anyone else encounter the same issue? Could you please help?

Thanks in advance!

hmmm. That is very strange. Yea, I guess that would be the best bet.

Good luck

hmmm. This is very strange. Only thing I can advise is to try to uninstall and re-install.

Thanks NightStalker, I had tried re-installing without success. But it seems to be a font issue:

However, I have tried everything suggested in the thread with no success. Looks like I will have to report this to Microsoft.
