Has anyone looked at the web development portion of Visual Studio 2010? I’m embarking on a new web project after a lengthy hiatus from web development, and am wondering if I should use the Release Candidate of 2010 or just stick with Visual Studio 2008.
I have used VS 2010 RC. It is very good, but I would rather wait as VS 2010 RTM is due to be officially released the end of this month. But if you want to use it, I say go right ahead
Awesome. Thanks for the reply!
Visual Studio 2010 is due at the end of the month? That’s fantastic news! I’ve been awaiting the new version for a while… I guess purging my system of the express versions will take a bit of doing bit it’ll be worth it for the improvements (I’ve seen the list and it’ll really be worth the wait).
I don’t think they’ll wait that long–MIX opening keynote is 15 March, I’d bet they will RTM the VS 2010/.NET 4.0 stack then.
Anyhow, I would start new projects on the .NET 4/VS 2010 option now unless you have other marching orders.
