<video> not recognized by IE 11?

On this page I have a background video in the Hero section. In my IE11 browser (W7) I get an error message “Media Error: Format(s) Not supported or source(s) not found”.

Chrome works great as well as Firefox.

I tested IE11 with Windows 7 using Browserstack and the video works absolutely fine.

Anyone see what the problem is? My ONLY guess is that in the code I’m not posting the codecs.

Where is this located?

Link provided above. The HERO section is at the very top of the page, below the menu.

I visited the link; I was looking for a section called “Hero.” Regardless, I used Windows 10 w/ IE 11 and it runs fine on my end. Sorry I can’t help without seeing an error. Perhaps it is because Windows 7; nobody I know uses it because of the free upgrade to Win10

I did check it out on my Android and see an image but no animation like I saw on the website.

See if this helps.

Not all of us are W10 fans. :grinning:

Nonetheless, I noticed W7 did an update.

  1. I shut down the system and let it install and initialize
  2. Loaded IE and cleared the caching.
  3. Everything was fine.

Thank you for taking the time to take!

That’s the splash image for mobile devices.

Thanks, ronpat. I did come across several HTML5 <video> coding suggestions and all were pretty simplified like I had my coding done.

Thank you for the reply!

Sadly enough, I’m not a Microsoft fan. Nonetheless, I have too much knowledge of them and all my college courses involve them over Apple :confounded:
