Video content on website home page - how to make for everyone?

Hi guys,

On the below link, I have a question

http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/views/index/index_video.php

I want to put this expanded video on the homepage as you see there, my only problem or question is, is what is the best practice for this …

As on my iMac and Macbook Pro it works fine and looks perfect

Then I check it on the bad resolution of the computers in my office and it comes out really poor quality rendering of the video. Again yesterday I was in another office and it was the same situation.

So what is the best practice with putting videos on the site, especially in that format I want on the homepage?

Is it better to use flash in this instance?

Thanks

You can just resize the width of the container, and/or the width and height of the iframe.

Take into consideration how it shows up on different browsers too!

I don’t understand, you are saying just resize the width of the container and it will show correct on all different computers? How to do that?

Yes. You currently have

#content {
 height: 68%;
 min-height: 400px;
 outline: medium none;
 width: 100%;
 z-index: 1;
}

in your style sheet. Try changing it to sommat like

#content {
 #content {
 height: 68%;
 min-height: 400px;
 outline: medium none;
 z-index: 1;
 margin:0 auto;
 width: 930px;}
}

Also get rid of the line in red here:

#vidWrap {
 height: 100%;
 min-height: 400px;
 min-width: 938px;
 overflow: hidden;
 position: relative;
 width: 100%;
 z-index: 2;
}

I made some changes but now everything seems to be overlapped

Does that make sense?

How does it look like?

No changes have been made that I can see. It’s the same as before.
