Very Interesting

I know it is waaaaay to soon to make a judgement, just an interesting story about a possible ‘merger’ between Microsoft and Adobe. Again, way to soon to see where this goes.

Thoughts?

I think it could be interesting to see a merger between MS Tools and Adobe Tools.

“Microsoft merger speculation boosts Adobe
Speculation that Microsoft plans to work more closely with Adobe or even buy the company has caused the share price of Adobe Systems to rise by 12 per cent.”

Didn’t see the heading, wwb_99?

Yeah, I agree with you, webcosmo. The fewer the companys, the less of competition. The IE browser is proof. With the advancement of FF and Chrome, IE has stepped up it’s game.

It looks like a coming war with MS vs. Google vs. Apple…In my opinion, it will come down to MS vs. Google.

Off Topic

I’m also an investor, although I stay away from Growth stocks and focus on Value only. Just don’t have the funds for the more pricier stocks. Speaking of which, I’m still puzzled by Microsoft’s stock price, it’s been fairly flat for a long time, a rang of -/+$10. But, I suspect the dividends are welcome. I wished I would have bought Apple and Google stock 5 years ago.

Not sure where you got merger from the article, but it makes quite a bit of sense from a business perspective. MS and Adobe products are, for all intents and purposes, what lots of the interactivity bits in HTML5 are aimed at eliminating. And they are getting creamed, to the point of being irrelevant, in the mobile space. Windows Mobile 7 is their latest best hope in this market, and it launches tomorrow, so the timing isn’t coincidental.

I’d read alot more into the merger if you saw lots of insider stock movement. But that doesn’t appear to be happening.

Yeah, I saw the headline. But I read the article and it didn’t have anything to support merger speculation.

I’ll add I follow both companies pretty closely for both professional reasons and as a shareholder . . .

that seem to be only talk. doesnt seem to be happening now.

i personally dont like big companies buying off all the smaller ones!
