Using AP photos?

Hi folks,

Does someone here knows if one can use AP (Associated Press) photos for free? I know Big news sites around the world use their photos with small label saying AP photos. Can I do the same or do I have to pay for it?

You have to have a contract with them to use anything they put out (articles, pictures, video, etc.).

Specifically, you can find more information about licensing photos from the AP from: http://www.ap.org/pages/product/photoservices.html

Depending what you are looking for, you might be able to find something in the public domain (such as a government photo).
